Pixels of the Past: Australia's Game Legacy 
Hollow Knight Edition

Pixels of the Past is an open-source, non-commercial project celebrating Australian-made video games. The project enables players to "jump" through reimagined levels, collect fun facts, and discover the legacy of classic Aussie games in this playful tribute to Australia’s gaming history!

The Hollow Knight Edition lets players explore a platforming level inspired by the original Hollow Knight (2017), collecting facts about the game and its development process along the way.

Hollow Knight Original

Hollow Knight (2017) is a Metroidvania platformer game that was developed and published by the Australian studio Team Cherry. Players play as the ‘Knight’, navigating through a ruined insect kingdom, encountering strange friends and fearsome creatures. The game has received massive success, heralded as one of the greatest indie games of all time. With a simple but strong art style, Hollow Knight also features incredible music. A sequel, Silksong, has amassed immense support and anticipation for its release.
